Canon Georgette Forney is dedicated to ending abortion and euthanasia through ministry, education, pastoral care, and advocacy in partnership with the Anglican Communion.

She was ordained June 29, 2014 as a Permanent Vocational Deacon in the Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy of the Anglican Church in North America. She is also the co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, an effort to raise awareness about the physical, spiritual, and emotional harm abortion does to women and to let those who are hurting from abortion know help is available. She had an abortion at age sixteen and later experienced healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation after going through an abortion recovery program. Through that she developed a greater understanding of the negative impact abortion has on women and the need to highlight the issue as an abortion survivor.

Canon Georgette Forney also authored Embrace the Journey, an 8-week adult-education series focused on aging and dying. Embrace the Journey addresses the difficult issues that elderly, terminally ill and disabled people face, recognizing that as patients or family members, being prepared to address their special needs is helpful and critical in today’s culture.

She has spoken at many CPC banquets, pro-life conferences, conventions, churches, rallies, and university and college campuses. In addition, she has addressed the Pro-Life Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives concerning abortion and women and gave testimony at the Senate Commerce sub-committee on Science, Technology and Space Hearing, regarding the impact of abortion on women’s health.
